Dolphin Energy to Participate In Qatar Career Fair 2013

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 27 March, 2013: Dolphin Energy Qatar today announced that it is participating in the 6th Annual Qatar Career Fair, which is taking place at the Qatar National Convention Center from 1st – 6th April, 2013.

The six-day fair is being held under the patronage of the Heir Apparent, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.

As Gold Sponsor, Dolphin Energy is marking its presence this year by providing an online CV submission facility on the stand and running on-the-spot interviews to prospective candidates. In addition, the company is also offering career counseling sessions and providing assistance to those seeking advice on developing their careers.

Commenting on the company’s presence at this year’s Fair, Mr Adel Ahmed Albuainain, General Manager, Dolphin Energy, Qatar said: “The event presents an ideal opportunity to engage with Qataris, communicate our strengths as an employer and highlight our successes over the last twelve months. Direct interaction is critical and we really benefit from the experience.”

One such success from 2012 was receiving the certificate of appreciation for the Training & Development category at the 12th Annual Qatarization Review Meeting. The certificate was delivered by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Energy and Industry in the State of Qatar.

“This was the culmination of a lot of hard work and the benefits can be seen in our improving retention records which are helping us to take positive strides towards pursuing the 33% Qatarization target set for this year.

“Training and development is key to our future success and integral to supporting Qatar’s objectives set out in the National Vision 2030. By looking at how we can build capacity and enhance knowledge we can create the most constructive environment for recruitment and retention where people’s skills are supported, success and achievement is rewarded and career growth is a given,” Mr Albuainain added.

Plans to strengthen Dolphin Energy’s commitment to Qatarization further in 2013 include the National Employee Referral Program which has already launched and a new e-Recruitment System which will kick off in the second half of 2013. The company will also continue to recognize and reward outstanding achievement.

“As important as providing the most constructive environment for career development is the process we have in place for recognizing outstanding achievement. Over the last two years, more than 100 Qatari employees have been recognized for their impressive achievements such as high GPA scores, completion of their Individual Development Plans & their education studies, self achievement and unique contribution.” concluded Mr. Albuainain.

Dolphin Energy’s stand number at the career fair is located on (EI G-10)/ Energy Hall.
