HE Ahmed Ali AL Sayegh

UAE Minister of State and Managing Director

Biography

His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh is a distinguished Emirati leader with extensive experience across government, finance, healthcare, energy, and international cooperation.

He currently serves as Managing Director of Dolphin Energy Ltd., one of the region’s most significant strategic energy initiatives, playing a key role in strengthening regional energy cooperation and supporting long-term energy security across the Gulf. He also serves as Minister of Health and Prevention of the United Arab Emirates.

His Excellency is Chairman of the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defense, where he oversees the development of the national ambulance and civil defense system. He also holds leadership and board roles across several strategic national institutions, including the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and Emirates Nature – World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Over the course of his career, H.E. Al Sayegh has held several prominent leadership positions across the UAE’s public and private sectors. He previously served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was the Founding Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), helping establish Abu Dhabi as a leading international financial center.

Earlier in his career, he served as Vice Chairman of First Gulf Bank and Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), and was a Founding Board Member of Etihad Airways and Mubadala Investment Company, in addition to holding leadership roles with Aldar Properties.

H.E. Al Sayegh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lewis & Clark College in the United States.
