H.E. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh is a Minister of State in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Cabinet, the Managing Director of Dolphin Energy Limited and the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). With three decades of international experience and business leadership, H.E. Al Sayegh holds several positions in a number of leading public and private institutions in Abu Dhabi, and has an extensive track record in launching and developing pioneering initiatives across various key industries. In addition, H.E. Al Sayegh’s portfolio includes being a Board Member of Etihad Airways Group, and Chairman of Al Jazira Capital Real Estate Investment and Development, to name a few.
As part of his corporate citizen commitments, H.E. Al Sayegh is also on the Board of Trustees of Abu Dhabi University, the Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Nature-WWF, and was the founding Managing Director of the Emirates Foundation.
In his corporate career, H.E. Al Sayegh served in several key capacities including as the former founding Chairman of Aldar Properties, founding Chairman of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), and Deputy Chairman of First Gulf Bank. He also headed senior positions in leading governmental institutions such as Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi Investment Company (Invest AD).
H.E. Al Sayegh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lewis & Clark College, USA.
HE Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei was appointed Minister of Energy in March 2013. He is a Board Member and Managing Director of IPIC and Chairman of IPIC subsidiaries
Borealis, NOVA Chemicals, CEPSA, and Aabar Investments.
In addition, HE is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mubadala Petroleum Co, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Liquefied Gas Co, Member of the Supreme Petroleum Council, Member of the Board of Directors of Tatweer Petroleum Co, Member of the Board of Directors and Board Vice-Chairman of (Barakah One Company), and Member of the Board of Directors and Board Vice-Chairman of (Nawah Energy Company). In 2017, HE increased his ministerial portfolio and was appointed Minister of Energy and Industry.
HE Suhail Al Mazrouei holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in the United States.
Musabbeh Al Kaabi is the Chief Executive Officer of Petroleum & Petrochemicals at Mubadala, which covers a portfolio of international assets spanning the oil and gas value chain.
Previously, he was CEO of Mubadala Petroleum, and prior to that he had a 16-year career with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) leading the Exploration Division.
Al Kaabi holds a number of board positions including Compania Espanola de Petroleos SA (Cepsa), an upstream oil and gas company headquartered in Spain; Cosmo Energy Holdings, an integrated oil and gas company with upstream and downstream operations based in Japan; Borealis, a leading producer of petrochemicals headquartered in Austria, and NOVO Chemicals, a North American based producer of plastics and chemicals.
Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri is the Executive Director of the UAE Industries unit within Mubadala’s UAE Investments platform. The platform contributes to the acceleration of the country’s economic transformation by investing in national world class champions, fostering vibrant industrial and commercial clusters, and partnering with world-class global entities.
Before joining Mubadala, Dr. Bakheet held positions at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), leading the production and facilities engineering for five of its operating companies covering all offshore operators in Abu Dhabi.
With over 20 years of diverse experience in the energy sector, Dr. Bakheet is a member of industry Boards and committees in the UAE including, Cepsa, Oil Search, Mubadala Petroleum and Emirates Global Aluminum.
Dr. Bakheet holds a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering and applied Mathematics from the University of Tulsa (Oklahoma, USA) and MSc in Environmental Science from UAE University. He also holds an Executive MBA from HCT, UAE and a Doctorate of Business Administration from the College of Business and Economics, UAE University.
Mansoor Al Hamed is the Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Petroleum. Prior to his appointment in February 2021, he held the position of Chief Growth Officer where he was responsible for all new business development and Mergers & Acquisitions activities at Mubadala Petroleum.
Mr. Al Hamed has more than 15 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry and across various disciplines of business leadership.
Mr. Al Hamed holds a BSc degree in Business Administration from the American University in Dubai and two MSc degrees from Abu Dhabi University and National Defense College in Abu Dhabi.
Elias Kassis is President Total E&P UAE and TotalEnergies Country Chair in the United Arab Emirates, a position held since May 2021.
Previously, Mr. Kassis was Vice President Energy Transition in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) division of Total Exploration & Production.
Before that, he served as Vice President North Africa in the MENA division, and Managing Director of the Total E&P affiliates in Yemen, Malaysia and Iraq. Prior to that, he was Vice President in the Total E&P Middle East division, and Vice President Venezuela in Total E&P Americas Division. He also fulfilled other assignments in Venezuela and Qatar.
Elias Kassis began his career at Total in 1991 and held various positions in the Trading and Gas & Power divisions until 2002.
Mr. Kassis holds an Engineering Master’s Degree from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble and a Master’s Degree in Finance from ESSEC Business School.
Laurent Vivier is Senior Vice President Middle East in the Exploration & Production Division of the Total Group, and a member of the CDEP, since January 2021.
Mr. Vivier began his career within Total in 1996 in the Group's Trading activity. Responsible for trading activities in LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) and then in natural gas for Europe and North America, he held positions in Paris, Geneva, London and Houston.
He returned to France in 2011, he was appointed Vice President Strategic Planning for Gas & Power. Four years later, he was appointed Senior Vice President Gas of Total. In this capacity, he accompanied Total's growth in LNG and the creation of the Gas, Renewables & Power (GRP) division.
Mr. Vivier graduated from the EDHEC School of business and holds an MSc from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
Jonathan (Jon) Newbery is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Occidental Oil and
Gas - UAE, an affiliate of Occidental Petroleum.
Newbery is responsible for all UAE Operations, including oversight of
the sour gas joint venture with ADNOC. He is also responsible for regional business development, Human Resources, Information Technology and Finance departments.
Newbery joined Occidental in 2004 and until recently held the position of VP International Business Development, based in Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Occidental, Newbery worked in various technical and management positions with leading international oil companies.
Newbery holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of London and a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, University of London.
Arnauld Lenail-Chouteau is Senior Vice President, Business, Gas & Planning Total E&P UAE.
He started his career in Total’s Upstream Division in 1998 and has held several successive exploration roles not just in Total’s headquarters but also in Nigeria, Congo, Malaysia and finally in Singapore where he was in charge of the regional exploration office for the Asia-Pacific region until mid 2017.
Lenail-Chouteau then returned to Paris and was assigned in the New Business and Development corporate team, looking at the Middle East region and more particularly focusing on growing Total’s activity in Oman. In August 2019, he moved on to his current position in Abu Dhabi.
Born in 1973, Lenail-Chouteau, has a degree in Chemistry and is a post-graduate in Petroleum Exploration from IFP School (Paris) in 1999.
Edward A. (Sandy) Lowe is Group Chairman, Middle East, Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation and Executive Vice President, Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy).
Lowe has held a number of engineering and project development leadership positions during his 30 years with the company. He has been a senior leader of Occidental’s international team for over a decade.
Most recently, Lowe served as President, Oxy Oil and Gas – International, from 2008 to 2009, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Occidental Petroleum, and Executive Vice President and General Manager for Dolphin Energy from 2002 to 2007.
Lowe holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from Tulane University.
Kenneth Dillon is President, International Oil and Gas Operations – Oxy Oil and Gas, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy).
Appointed in 2016, Dillion is responsible for the management of the company’s international operations, including Occidental’s key focus areas in Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Colombia.
Most recently, Dillion served as Senior Vice President – Operations and Major Projects in 2014. He was named Vice President – Major Projects in 2011 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2012. Dillion holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, United Kingdom.
Thomas Maurisse is Senior Vice President LNG Gas, Renewables & Power, LNG Division, Total Paris.
He started his career in 2007 at the French Ministry of Economy, Finance & Industry. In 2011, he became Chief of Staff of the State Secretary for Consumption, Small Enterprises, Trade & Services and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister of Economy, Finance & Industry.
Maurisse joined Total in 2012 in the Refining & Chemicals division where he worked successively in Germany as Head of the economic division of the Leuna refinery; then he worked in Belgium as General Manager of Supply Sales and Optimization covering activities for the North and East Europe.
In 2017, he transferred to Total E&P Nigeria where he is Strategy & Sales Director of Exploration & Production.
