In a move that strengthens its contribution to the community of Qatar, Dolphin Energy Limited today announced it is sponsoring the Qatar Paralympics Committee (QPC), the organization that promotes sports activities for those with special needs.
The company will provide QR 200,000 to help QPC develop special activities, events and training programs designed to support disabled athletes who compete in track and field events locally, regionally and internationally.
The announcement was marked by a signing ceremony between Dolphin Energy and QPC which was held at Dolphin Energy Tower. Mr. Adel Ahmed Albuainain, General Manager Qatar presented the cheque to Dr. Hassan Al Ansari, General Secretary, Qatar Paralympics Committee.
The ceremony was also attended by a host of senior managers from both Dolphin Energy and QPC. These included from Dolphin Energy, Mr. Ibrahim Jeham Al Kuwari, Deputy General Manager and Mr. Ajlan Eid Al Enazi, DVP Public Relations. Mr. Ameer Al Mulla, Executive Director and Mr. Abdulqader Almotawa, General Secretary Assistant, attended on behalf of QPC.
Commenting on the company’s contribution, Mr. Albuainain said: “QPC has an excellent reputation in helping to nurture and develop athletes with special needs. Our contribution supports the plans QPC has that enable the athletes to compete at the top level.
“It is important that we actively participate in initiatives such as this. Dolphin’s social responsibility program supports organizations and activities that seek to improve the lives of the Qatari people.”

Dolphin Energy is owned 51 percent by Mubadala Development Company, on behalf of the Government of Abu Dhabi – and 24.5 percent each by Total of France and Occidental Petroleum of the USA.
