Gas & Liquids Marketing

Dolphin Energy supplies natural gas to all seven emirates of the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman. The marketing of Dolphin Energy’s natural gas and its by-products is the responsibility of the company’s Marketing and Commercial Division, based at the company’s Head Office in Abu Dhabi.

Marketing activities fall into two distinct categories. These are the sale of Dolphin’s natural gas, mostly under long-term contracts to customers in the UAE and Oman – and the sales of condensate, LPG, sulfur and ethane, which are the valuable by-products of the company’s Gas Processing Plant in Qatar.

Short term interruptible gas sales agreements are also currently in place with the Federal Electricity & Water Authority, Ras Al Khaimah Natural Gas Commission and Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority.

In addition, Dolphin is receiving up to 125 mm scf/day in interruptible third party supply from QP. This is helping meet an increase in demand from Dolphin’s customers. The amount is received every six months.
