In 2005, Dolphin Energy was one of the founding sponsors of the Emirates Foundation, one of the leading philanthropic foundations in the UAE today. Dolphin’s own long-term commitment to the principles of corporate social responsibility mirrors the aims and objectives of the Foundation.
The Emirates Foundation represents a unique, multi-sector effort to create new opportunities for the people of the UAE. Through philanthropic projects within its six core areas of interest, the Foundation seeks to engage individuals and groups throughout the nation in a new era of mutual achievement.
The six core areas of the Emirates Foundation are: education; science and technology; arts & culture; social development; environment and public awareness.
Since 2007 Dolphin Energy has become a major sponsor in the Qatar Foundation and it support for the development and enhancement of educational, institutional and cultural values within the State of Qatar.
Each of the Foundation’s activities is designed to benefit the broader public, both directly and indirectly – in many cases, the success of its projects is dependent on large-scale public participation. Dolphin Energy continues its commitment to both foundations with significant financial contributions to flag ship initiatives.
Dolphin Energy is also a supporter of Tawteen, an initiative that was set up to prepare young Emirati men and women for careers in the private sector by developing skills and unlocking their potential.
Part of the Emirates Foundation, Tawteen was established in 2007 and enlisted private and public sector support in creating specialist pilot programs.
Dolphin has been a sponsor of the Maa’bar Al-Najaah or ‘Bridge to Success’ program which supported the recruitment of Emirati women into positions within the energy sector.
The company played a pivotal role in partnership with Tawteen and in inviting the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology for the design and implementation of the theoretical part of the program.
Since the program started, 23 female students attended and graduated from a 100 hour oil and gas sector course which focused on soft skills needed for the industry.
